Wanting to find a cheap way to make a guest room a little more comfortable, a little more homey? Take some magazines that you have already read, find a cute box or basket to put them in and stash them next to the guest bed. These are especially great for those moments before going to sleep when the mind needs a little something to wind down with. (Here’s a hint: Time magazine may not be as relaxing as Better Homes and Gardens.)

Oh, and if you’re ever visiting my house, you may find a few of the best recipes torn out of the backs of the magazines. It would just make you hungry before bed anyway!
